If you are tired of bouncing from one job to another and looking for a long-term career, then consider working for Kimalco. We are looking for energetic individuals that are willing to learn a trade. If you are just looking for part time work or a job to hold you over until you get that call back from American Idol, then this isn’t the job for you. The skills you will learn at Kimalco are lifelong skills. Most of our team members have an average of 30+ years of experience. With many looking to retire we are looking to train a new generation of operators that are interested in a long-term fulfilling career. 

Kimalco is an independent mattress manufacturing company located in Evansville IN, owned by the Pike family. The Pike family has been in the bedding business since 1946. Because Kimalco is a small manufacturer you won’t just be tied to one task day after day. Each day is different. Employees are trained to operate multiple machines. Some skills, such as the tape edge mattress closing machine operators, are eligible for higher rate of pay.

Compensation:

  • Paid Training starting at $9 for the first 2 weeks with a pay raise to $10/hr after that.
  • Eligible for next pay raise in 90 days.
  • As your skill level increases  so does your paycheck. Earn up to $15/hrA.   B
  • Quarterly performance reviews reward hard working employees with bonuses and pay raises.
  • Paid weekly
  • We don’t hold back a week so you get your first check right away.
  • We don’t currently withhold any union dues, health insurance premiums, or 401k from your check. So you get to keep your money.

  • 1 week paid vacation after a year and 2  weeks paid vacation after 3 years.
  • Paid holidays include Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Years
  • Factory closes between Christmas through New Years so everyone has family time.
  • Some part time positions are available (may not qualify for all benefits)

  • No high school or college degree? No problem!
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, twist, and tug
  • Must be able to lift 50-80lbs
  • Must be able to walk backwards

Sewing Machine Operators

  • No Prior sewing experience required but is preferred
  • Part Time, flexible hours
  • On-The-Job training available
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination
  • Must be able to read a yard stick within 1/8th of an inch
  • Must be able to Read & write
  • Reliable transportation to and from work necessary
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, twist, and tug on materials. 

We are looking for people to work part time in our sewing room. Serious applicants only please. No experience is necessary but we need someone that is reliable and willing to work. We will train you so if you have never sewn before but have good hand-eye coordination please contact us or send us your resume. There is no age limitation but candidate should be able to handle the pushing and pulling of materials. If doing so causes you pain or you are physically unable to then this may not be the job for you. We offer a heated and air conditioned factory in the sewing room.
