Sales Associate

Are you bored easily? Do you enjoy a challenge? If someone says it can't be done does that make you want to do it more? Do you enjoy talking to people? Then consider a career in sales. If anyone has ever told you that you could sell ice to an Eskimo then you are the person we are looking for. Honestly, even if you aren't that confident about your sales skills but you are willing to learn then we still welcome your application. No experience is required. All sales staff is factory trained and certified to know products inside and out. And no, this isn't some boring seminar that you sit through. You will be taught all the components and how they are assembled and what the purpose is so you are fully loaded with all the information you need to successfully close sales. And because it is a commission job a closed sale means a bigger paycheck. 
 
Who are we? KIMALCO Inc is a diverse company. KIMALCO is currently operating three divisions of the company with KIMALCO Mattress as the Wholesale, Pike's Mattress and the Retail, and Kimalco Komfort Products as our catalog company. You may not be familiar with our name but the Pike family has been right here in Evansville, IN since 1946. While you may not have heard of us you have probably driven past us dozens of times. We are located at 213 W Division Street in Evansville, Between the Vectren Building and Berry Plastics. The Pike family has been manufacturing Mattresses and is proud to say we are the only mattress factory for over 100 miles. Over the past 70+ years we have manufactured brands such as Superior Mattress, Mattress Factory Showroom, Motel Mattress Distributors, SheetHolders, and many more. We recently launched our newest brand Pike's Mattress and we are looking for someone to help grow with us. We are a Woman-Owned business and proud to say we are a Christian Family Business. This means we impose our Christian values on how we live and run our business but don't worry, we don't force our faith on you. We are just proud of who we are and proclaim our faith without shame. 

We are hiring a full-time in-house sales associate to handle our retail sales as well as our phone sales. The position is base pay PLUS commission with no pay cap. So you can earn as much as you want. The only limit to your pay is your willingness to go after it. We are seeking a self-driven energetic individual that is willing to help us grow our company. Annual income average is $40,000+ (base pay $20,800 plus commissions). Some office work is required as well. We are looking for someone to grow with us. We want someone that is looking for a career not just a job. If you apply yourself this could be a very lucrative career and has the potential to make well over the above noted $40,000 annual income. With some of the items we are launching this year there is no reason you couldn't make $100,000 or more so long as you are motivated enough to make it happen. 

Compensation

  • Base pay of $20,800 PLUS commissions 
  • No cap or limit on the commissions you can earn
  • Paid Weekly
  • We don't hold back a weeks pay so you get your first check right away.
  • Retail sales With additional sales possibilities (so unlimited commission possibilities)

What you will do:

  • Greet clients and work one-on-one with them to find the right product for them. 
  • File, take notes, answer phones
  • Some online research
  • Delivery Schedule management
  • Make sales calls


Requirement:

  • Must be willing to work OT if necessary
  • Willing to work weekends (with one weekend off per month)


If you are looking for a sales job where you sit at a desk and wait for customers to come in then this isn't the job for you.  With commission sales the goal is to make as many sales as possible so you bring home a bigger paycheck. This means you must be self-motivated enough to actively seek new ways to bring customers into the store. We welcome out-of-the-box thinking and creativity. Sewing Machine Operators

  • No Prior sewing experience required but is preferred
  • Part Time, flexible hours
  • On-The-Job training available
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination
  • Must be able to read a yard stick within 1/8th of an inch
  • Must be able to Read & write
  • Reliable transportation to and from work necessary
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, twist, and tug on materials. 

We are looking for people to work part time in our sewing room. Serious applicants only please. No experience is necessary but we need someone that is reliable and willing to work. We will train you so if you have never sewn before but have good hand-eye coordination please contact us or send us your resume. There is no age limitation but candidate should be able to handle the pushing and pulling of materials. If doing so causes you pain or you are physically unable to then this may not be the job for you. We offer a heated and air conditioned factory in the sewing room.
